#1: Hunt for truffles in Great Southern
The Great Southern represents one of the most diverse tourism, food and wine regions you can imagine.
In the heart of this Australian gourmet escape, one can go truffle hunting or visit the Truffle Kerfuffle festival held each June to celebrate this rare delicacy. The area boasts some great wine estates including the Plantagenet, Burch Family, Larry Cherubino, Harewood Estate and Frankland Estate.
#2: Scenic helicopter flight to take in the bright pink Lake Hillier
Middle Island and its amazing pink Lake Hillier can be visited on a boat tour or scenic flight taking off from Esperance in southern WA. The pink hue of the lake is a naturally occurring phenomenon and even more breath-taking in person.
