ANZAC Day 2020: Taking time to reflect

As the dawn breaks on Anzac Day 2020 we recognise that things are a little different this year.

Mike Deeks by Mike Deeks,

As Australians, we have a national yearning to collectively perform our sacred duty to remember and honour those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.

This year, we will not be able to show our respect in the usual way, united together as the sun rises, but that doesn’t make this Anzac Day any less important.  Indeed, the Aussie spirit and ‘can do’ attitude forged on the slopes of the Gallipoli Peninsula are still alive today as Australians, wherever they are, come up with innovative ways to honour the fallen.

Here in London, as in other parts of the world, we are unable to gather together.  Please join with us to commemorate Anzac Day by following the links to short video clips from the Hon Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia; Hon Peter Tinley AM MLA, Minister for Veterans Issues, and; Mike Deeks CSC, Western Australian Agent General.
