Western Australia wine on show in London
On 24 January 2023, the Wine Australia’s Australia Trade Tasting Event was held in London and showcased more than 700 wines from 200 wine producers.

Western Australia was well represented with 29 wineries being showcased at the event which was visited by hundreds of trade specialists and media within the UK.
Pleasingly, of the 29 wineries in attendance, 13 wineries were new to the UK market and were seeking distributors. Notably, a number of these wineries seeking distributed have been supported by the WA Wines to the World Program. This Program is a partnership between Wines of Western Australia and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s Export Growth Partnership. We look forward to hearing how these wineries were received by the market and hope to see some of these wines stocked on the floor of liquor stores in the UK.
But not all the Western Australian wineries in attendance were new to the market, with some well established and mature WA wineries also taking to the floor to present their product to the UK audience. The passion and enthusiasm from all in attendance resonated throughout the hall and it was great to see so much Western Australian product on show. We look forward to an even greater selection of WA wines on offer on the shelves in the UK and European markets.
